FLAC MP3 Converter App Reviews

11 Customer Reviews:

Does the job and totaly free.

This is not a lite version that limits conversion to a single file or limits the usage in the app.

Just what I needed

A simple, intuitive program. And it looks like they listen to user feedback: there was a whole range of bitrate options.

Great app…converts quickly, but having to manually change each and every MP3 to 320kbps is brutal. Please add feature to select mutiple files and change their destination format at the same time for 5 star review…thank you.

I loaded the app, added the folder containing 18 FLAC audio files, changed the bitrate to 256, set the output folder and clicked CONVERT. A few minutes later I had 18 MP3 files at 256 bitrate. Thanks for the free app.

Downloaded some FLAC audio files and while I love VOX as an audio player I wanted to add the music to my iTunes music collection. Apple hasn’t caught on to FLAC as a great open platform audio format, but this free FLAC to MP3 converter will downsample your music so you can drag/drop it into iTunes. iTunes will add the MP3 files and you are good to go. If you use iTunes Match ($25 a year from Apple) they’ll go ahead and convert your MP3 files to Apple’s higher quality .M4a files. Great little free app that solved my provblem. Thanks!

Easy to use, plenty of options if you want to go digging and good format support. Converts meta data as well. A few ads but can’t complain for free and simple. Would love to see some multi-threading to convert faster, or multiple files at a time, etc. but again, can’t complain for free. Throw a folder of flac at it, hit convert, choose an output folder, done.

Tried converting an FLAC to mp3 and they came out at 192 kbps. Would be better if had options for 256 and 320 kbps. Especially for DJing, 320 kbps is the standard.

Got some .flac files from a friend. Couldn’t import them to itunes, and found this application. Surprisingly it supports conversion to AAC and even offers bitrate selection too, you just have to look for it. Literally just opened a folder, set my configs, applied to all and done. Worked like a charm!
